***Due to inclement weather the Hallelujah Hayride was been postponed from Sat., Oct. 26th until Sun. Oct. 27th immediately after service.***

Everyone had a great time of fun and fellowship with their Upward Church family!  Hayride, hotdogs, smores over the open fire, bouncy houses and tons of fun!!!

It was a great time celebrating the upcoming arrival of Tyler and Elizabeth's daughter, Millie Julianna.  Thank you to everyone who came out, set up, decorated, cooked, served, cleaned up and celebrated with the Martins!

Congratulations to The Cody Mitchell Family for winning the top honor of "Most Fish Caught". Congratulations to Bradley Young for "Biggest Fish Caught". Don Troxell got honorary mention for "Walking The Most" in having to weigh all the fish caught. Tosha Brown got honorary mention for "The Biggest Fish That Got Away "  with Teresa McFerron a close 2nd.

Jessica and Daraven wish to express their deepest gratitude to all those who came to the Baby Shower and Luncheon and for all the amazing wonderful, gifts they were blessed with. Thank you to everyone who came, set up, decorated, served, cooked, gave, and cleaned up to make the celebration happen. It was a wonderful, beautiful day!!!

VBS 2024 was June 26th - June 28th from 5pm-8pm for ages 3-12.  It was a great time of fun and faith building.  

We had an amazingly blessed time worshiping with and ministering to our precious friends at Pickett Care & Rehab on Sun., June 23rd. Always a special time!!

We had a great surprise birthday party for Pastor Dale.  Happy birthday!!

The Youth had a great time at the Youth Lock-In Friday, April 19th, 2024 from 5pm-10pm. Thank you to all who came out, participated and helped out!

Our youth attended Warrior-Fest in Cleveland, TN April 5-7th. They had an amazing, blessed and anointed time!  Lives were changed, Praise God!!

The Youth had a Chili Cookoff to raise funds to go to Warrior-Fest April 5-7, 2024 in Cleveland, TN.  Thank you to all you entered, came out and donated!!

We had such a great time ministering to the precious residents of Pickett Care and Rehab today. It was such a blessing. Thank you to all who came out!!

The kids had a great time playing games, winning medals and sharing food and fellowship.  It was a fantastic day!!!

The boys went fishing at Greenbrier Pay Lake..  The girls and littles went swimming at Twin Lakes Family Wellness Center.  They had a great time!!!

So blessed to have 12 baptisms on such a beautiful Lord's Day!!  Among them were grandmother and granddaughters, husband and wife and mother and daughters.  A strong family worships together!  Scroll through the pictures.  

We had a special service honoring all who volunteer.  We love and appreciate you so much and could not do this without you! There was church provided meal after service for EVERYONE.

Welcome home!!!

The kids and adults had an AMAZING time at Winter Jam 2023 in Louisville, KY yesterday! An experience they'll never forget. A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped with funding, transportation, driving, chaperoning, etc. to make this all possible.

The Children's Pizza Bake-off/Fundraiser was a huge success! The pizzas were delicious. The kids did an outstanding job and everyone had a great time of fun and fellowship. A big thank you to all who came out and contributed!!

Christmas Caroling at Pickett Care and Rehab on Thursday, Dec. 22nd, 2022.  We dressed festively and celebrated the Christmas season with the residents at Pickett Care. The children were really excited to be with the residents. It was a fun and meaningful experience for everyone!

We had an amazing day for the Hayride and Hotdog Cookout on Saturday, Oct. 29th, 2022. The weather was perfect!  All enjoyed the hayrides, cooking out hotdogs, marshmallows, making smores, and fellowshipping. What a great time of fellowship and fun!

Up to Sept. 21st, 2022 We collected toys for the children ages 10 and under who were victims of the Kentucky floods. People brought in new or clean, undamaged, 2^nd hand toys and stuffed animals.  Special thanks to Chrissy Parrish and the staff at WANY 100.9 in Albany, KY for advertising the toy drive and collecting toys from listeners and to Clinton County News for the article about the toy drive. It was very successful.  Our prayer is that the children receiving these toys will see Jesus as loving them, touching their lives and being by their side as they work through this tragedy.  Check out this video of when the toys were delivered!

What a beautiful day!! We had 2 children dedicated and 4 baptized.  Praise God!!

From Pastor Dale: Thank you everyone for making our 50th Anniversary so very special. Thank you for the party, all the amazing, delicious food, all those who decorated, cooked, served, cleaned up, for the gifts, cards and the contributions towards the walk-in shower. We are so very appreciative and blessed. THANK YOU!!

Wed., Sept. 7th, 2022 was Family & Friends Night.  

It was a great evening of cornhole, bouncy house, eating hotdogs and chips and most importantly fellowshipping with each other. Thanks to all who came out, participated and helped!

Upward Olympics!! 

The kids had an fun day participating in all the games, having a hamburger and hotdog cookout, and being awarded medals and ribbons.  It was a great day!!

Sat., July 30^th Boys 10 and up went fishing on DHL. All other children went swimming at the Family Wellness Center in Albany and had a pizza lunch in the park afterward.  As you can tell by the pictures, the children and the volunteers had a blast!  Memories to last a lifetime.  We love the children!!

Sunday, June 12th @ 2pm Pastor Dale Cox ministered at Pickett Care and Rehab.  Joining him were The Schofield's along with Upward Church's Praise and Worship Team.  It was awesome to minister to these precious seniors!

We had a wonderful time Sunday, May 1st, 2022 celebrating with Lathaniel and Kaylee anticipating the birth of their first child, Kimber.  What a great day!

Sunday, April 24th @ 10am we celebrated with Pastor Dale on his 70th birthday!  Brad Cox, Senior Pastor of Alive in the Spirit in Jamestown, TN, was our special guest speaker.  There was special music and a covered dish celebration meal after the services.  What a fantastic day!

WOW!!! A great big shout out to Cindy Mitchell, Mike Dowdy, Glenn Smith, Hans Cooper, Don & Joyce Troxell, Teresa McFerron, Wayne & Peggy Powell, Roger Duvall, Linda Pastrick, Pastor & Sharon, Danny & Phyllis Schofield who all worked so very hard at our Church Work Day March 26th, 2022.  We got so many things accomplished that have been needed done for so long; cleaning, organizing, repairing, maintaining, removing & de-cluttering.  It was a very successful day,  We could never get it all done in one day so if you missed we'll definitely do it again but we got a tremendous amount done and so very appreciative to all those who came out and helped.  BIG, BIG thank you to Danny Schofield for cooking that amazing BBQ pork for our lunch.  That was worth working all day for!  From the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!

Thank you to all who worked so hard to make the Hayride a great success! Thank you to all who came out! Thank you Lord for such a spectacular day!!

The JAMS Class had a wonderful time visiting Mountain View Park in Albany, KY. They had fun and food galore!  

We had a great turnout for the motorcycle trip to Brushy Mountain Prison Museum on Sat., June 19th.  The tour included a stop in the gift shop and a meal in the Warden's Table Chow Hall.  Everyone had a great time!

Kicking off a new season of Upward Bound Youth!  

Upward's new Youth Minister Hans Cooper took our teens ages 13 and up to Gatlinburg on Sat. June 5th, 2021 for a day of fun, adventure and fellowship!  

Resurrection Sunday

We had an amazing Resurrection Sunday Drive-In Service. The day started with coffee, juice and pastries from 9-10am. At 10am service began with special music from The Schofields followed by our own Upward Church Praise and Worship team and an anointed message from Pastor Dale "The Resurrection; Three Infallible Truths". After service the children enjoyed an Easter egg hunt where we had lots of Easter eggs filled with candy, some with money and one Easter egg with a very special prize that was found by Audry Pritchard! It was a great day celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus!

Sunday 2/14/21 was was a special day at Upward Church as we celebrated Family Sweetheart Day with praise and worship, Pastor Dale sharing a VERY pertinent message "Four Phrases That Will Drive The Devil Out of Your Marriage and Out of Your Family!!" followed by a delicious banquet.  It was a fantastic day in the House of God!

House of Blessings joined us on Thurs. 1/28/21 @ 7pm. Veronica Whitehead spoke along with many of her volunteers and clients giving testimony of the amazing things God is doing through this incredible ministry.  A big thanks to the people of Upward Church and Doug and Sheila Cox of New Directions Outreach of Irvine, KY for all the generous food donations!  It was by far our largest food and monetary offering to House of Blessings!

It was the perfect day for our Hayride for the Kids.  We all enjoyed a leisurely hayride through the beautiful countryside landscaped in gorgeous fall colors.  Hotdogs and marshmallows were roasted over an open fire.  The kids enjoyed playing on the playground and getting Hallelujah Bags filled with yummy treats and helium balloons.  It was a great day!!!

IT WAS AN AMAZING DAY IN THE LORD!!

We couldn't gather in person and have a party this year due to covid-19 restrictions but we did present Pastor Dale with a cookie cake and birthday cards Thursday night 4/23/20 during the live Facebook feed for his 68th birthday which was on Friday 4/24.

Pancake breakfast was provided. 

Our congregants donated very gently used and new Bibles to Mission Cry.  These Bibles were sent overseas and given freely to people who cannot afford them. 

Those who wished to participate dedicated themselves to a time of prayer and fasting Jan. 2-22, 2020.  We with joy anticipate the testimonies that will be coming in testifying to what God has done in observance of this fast. Along with our fast we collected food for House of Blessings in Monticello, KY.  On Jan. 30th, 2020 we had a sloppy joes, hot dog, & tater tot dinner at 6pm.  Afterwards Veronica Whitehead along with many volunteers and clients shared with us about their ministry and received our donations.  It was an amazing time!!!

What a blessing to be able to minister to the residents of Pickett Care & Rehab.  Each resident was presented with a lap blanket and a gift bag.  All who participated along with the residents were very touched. 

Every year the first Saturday of November we are blessed to host The Schofields Ministry Anniversary Concert.  A delicious free meal was provided at 6pm with concert starting at 7pm.  It was amazing!!!!
